Microsoft just released their official Spark deployment on Azure HDInsight which includes Zeppelin. While Azure HDInsight runs on both Linux and Windows, the current Spark preview is running on Windows. So Microsoft have made some changes in order for it to run on Windows. Hopefully they'll release them soon.
