Below is the complete job description. * ** ** *Position:* Java Struts Lead developer *LOCATION*: Dullas, VA *RATE*: DOE *DURATION:* 6 to 12 months ** ** * * *Keys: Java, J2EE, OO development, Struts, Ajax/Web2.0, Oracle, Weblogic, Apache, UML, DBA experience* * * The role of the Software Engineer IV is to lead design, implementation, and troubleshoot of an enterprise multi-tiered infrastructure that manages the global authoritative directory for .COM and .NET domain names. This includes designing, coding, configuring, and documenting software specifications throughout the project life cycle. The Software Engineer IV will also provide technical guidance to his/her team members and support across functional teams. *Responsibilities:* *** Lead in hands-on design and implementation of the .COM and .NET registration systems and related infrastructure. * Follow company’s established SDLC for assigned projects and tasks. * Deliver assigned projects and/or tasks on time with desired quality. * Lead detailed designs and produce the documents that meet the requirements and standards. * Develop assigned components in accordance with the requirements and detailed designs. * Perform unit testing and integration testing to ensure high quality. * Proactively communicate to Development Manager regarding the status and potential impacts on the delivery date and/or expected quality of the tasks and/or the projects. Provide recommendations if needed. * Actively support the QA team and the Performance and Scalability (P&S) team on their testing effort, and produce technical documentation required by QA and P&S. * Provide technical guidance and product expertise to Product Management, Customer Service and Operations, and work with them to identify and to solve production issues. * Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers.* Position Requirements:* *** Minimum 7 years of software development experience, and experience as a Technical Lead * Minimum 5 years coding experience using Java and other object oriented programming languages. * Extremely strong and demonstrated capabilities in Java and J2SE fundamentals. * Practical working experience with J2EE architecture. Experience with Struts. * Experience in Web User Interface development using AJAX and Web 2.0 * Must have experience working in Linux and Windows development environments. * Experience working with Weblogic, Apache Web Server. * Must have a proficient knowledge of software development methodologies and experience using a UML tool. * Experience in large scale and performance driven software development in an OO environment is required. * Must have experience working with relational databases such as Oracle * Experience working as a DBA is a strong plus. * Great communication skills and interpersonal skills. * Excellent problem solving skills in a team environment * Strong ability to work effectively as an individual and within a team. *Education ** BS/BA in computer system design or computer science, and/or equivalent training and working experience. * Certifications in Java technologies and Oracle database technologies are pluses.
