Immediate need:

QA

Location: San Jose, CA

Duration: 12 months

　

- BS in Computer Science/Engineering with 8+ years of strong experience in software QA and testing areas, with at least 5 years of successful track record in lead/Sr. QA role (similar development background with unit/integration testing experience and strong QA aptitude and interest is acceptable)

Required:

- At least 2 years of recent hands-on Java programming or Java/JUnit unit testing experience

- Strong DB/SQL scripting skills (should be able to write complex SQL queries, should understand all core DB concepts, familiar with DB views/proc/triggers)

- Expert and hand-on experience in testing large distributed Web-based applications: frontend and backend (manual and automated)

-Good understanding QA methodology, Agile development processes and project life cycle

- Experience in developing detailed test plans, estimations, test cases (positive, negative, boundary, data matrix, etc.), test reports, etc

- Familiarity with scripting languages like Perl and Shell.

- Experience with following OS: Windows- XP, Solaris, Linux

- Good understanding of common web technologies, such as JS, AJAX, XML, HTTPS, MVC, Web Servers, Application Servers, etc.

Nice to have:

- Networking certifications (CCENT, CCNA)

- QA certifications (ASTQB)

- Test automation tools (Rational Functional Tester, WinRunner, Selenium, LoadRunner)

Soft Skills

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to analyze requirements in-depth, not just at the surface.

- Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to share information and communicate clearly to team members as well as stakeholders.

- Strong people skills, interpersonal and teamwork skills in a geographically distributed team environment

- Ability to multi-task and drive critical tasks to completion with little supervision. Result oriented.

- Ability and willingness to learn new technologies.

- Encourages and accepts personal feedback.
