Qaulifications:
Must have 7-9 years of development experience. Must have worked on at least two
high volume, customer facing J2EE web applications preferably in an Agile/Scrum
environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the
ability
to work effectively in a group setting. Consistent and proper communication
to management and team is a crucial factor that contributes to the success of
the team.
Bachelor Degree, preferably in Computer Science
* Must be good team player with solid communication and verbal skills
* Must have expertise with Web 2.0 technologies (AJAX, JS, CSS, HTML)
* Must have experience with web frameworks
* Must have experience with web service
* Must have 7+ year hands-on java development with J2EE
* Must have experience with supporting and tuning high-volume web
applications
* Must have willingness to work in a fast-changing environment
* Must have high-availability to support 24/7 mission critical
application
* Must have solid Object-Oriented Design & Programming skills
including UML and design patterns
* Must have experience with source version control systems (SVN, CVS,
etc).
* Experience working on B2C or entertainment sites is desired
Technical Skillset
Java, J2EE, Ajax/ JavaScript (Prototype, Dojo, toolkits etc.), HTML, CSS, XML,
JSP, SQL, Web framework, Web Service.
Core Competencies
* Knowledge of industry standard Software Development Life Cycles,
including Agile/Scrum processes
* Ability to handle multiple projects at once while meeting aggressive
production deadlines
* Proactive interaction with managers, developers, project managers, and
analysts
* Experience with business/e-commerce applications in the online media
or entertainment space a plus
* Creative problem solver who is extremely well organized and accustomed
to maintaining meticulous records
* Demonstrates strong follow up and follow though skills ensuring timely
delivery
Self starter who actively takes responsibility to determine how to test the
application
but also knows when to ask
