Location: NYC, NY Duration: 6 months Interview Type: Phone & In-Person Job Description: Roles and Responsibilities· Be a part of a Trading Systems Development Team in a startup company to play a key role in the migration of an existing platform to the latest industry standard versions of system software.· Work under time constraints to meet project deadlines and ensure high reliability and high performance in production environments.· Learn the current architecture and be an active participant in the development of the next generation of this industry changing new platform. Qualifications:· 8+ years with hands-on object oriented design and development with Java· Must have hands on experience with either Hibernate or EJB 3.0· Must have experience using UML2.x or Model driven development.· Must have experience with JBOSS· Experience with Java migration projects (from EJB 2.1 CMP beans to EJB3.0) a strong plus· Experience with Rational Software Architect V7+, Rational Rose 7.7,Together J, or Enterprise Architect a plus· Experience with JMS, JDK 1.4 and above in multithreaded environments a plus· Experience with JPA a plus· Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases (MS SQL Server, My SQL, Oracle or Sybase)· Proficiency in Java Swing a plus.· Understanding of electronic trading platforms for Fixed Income and Derivatives products (CDS and IRS)· BS or MS in Computer Science or related fields.· Excellent communication skills and a willingness to collaborate with others.· Strong analytical skills and organizational abilities.· Excellent communication skills and a willingness to collaborate with others. · Strong analytical skills and organizational abilities.
