The Senior Portal Web Developer’s role is to participate in the design and development of portal collaboration. The web developer shall have a strong knowledge in software architecture and design and have experience working in a design group that develops critical applications. The Senior Portal Web developer will formulate a high level capability roadmap, partner with the business leaders to educate, understand, and influence on IWE capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop new systems or maintain and enhance existing systems
Partners closely with business owners & determines overall solution design
Take ownership of the overall design, and provide technical direction to the team through the execution of the project.
Familiar with technologies such as:
SQL
UNIX Platform: SQL, _javascript_, HTML
Portal Technologies(preferably Liferay)
Struts, MVC, JSP, Servlets, Tomcat, Apache, Ant, Oracle, Java security, J2EE, other Java frameworks
PL/SQL, SQL, Oracle Utilities, TOAD, shell scripting
Additional Skill set vital to the role:
Strong Java (J2SE & J2EE) Skills
Must have Product Development Experience
Good logical thinking, problem solving skills and short ramp up time
