As member of a strong, collaborative application development team, this individual will design, develop, and implement enhancements to the Pricing systems. Our team covers a wide variety of asset types, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, OTC securities and fair value assessments, which are used throughout the firm. The Senior Software Engineer will learn about a variety of assets and work with multiple teams. We use a number of major vendors and also seek out best of breed to price niche investments classes. In this role, the individual will participate in all development activities to successfully deploy new systems and enhancements, and work with colleagues and end users to design, develop and implement solutions to meet business requirements. The Senior Software Engineer will be a senior resource and mentor junior team members in their development activities. · Work with business team, project managers, and systems analysts to review business requirements, functional specifications, use-cases, and test plans · *Participate in architecture,* design, development, and implementation of new software components and applications based on functional specifications. · Work with other software engineers to design and implement application features, including user interfaces, and business functionality enhancements · Author technical design and support documentation. *· 3+ years of demonstrated database development and architecture experience * *· 3+ years demonstrated experience developing J2EE applications using JDBC, JNDI, JMS, Swing and/or Web applications using JSP, SPRING, Web Services *** *· Experience with PERL, XML, UNIX/Linux, Grails and ExtJS helpful.* · Ability to work effectively in a multi-location team environment · Ability to solve problems in a logical, methodical, and time efficient manner · Experience in data management a plus · Experience in the financial industry a plus · Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills *Thanks & Best Regards* *V**INNI *** *Recruiter |Oberon IT* 1300 W.
