Role: HP UX Administrator Location: Houston, TX Duration: 6+ Months *HP UX – Spanish Speaking Skill required*** * * *Job Description * This position plays a key role in building HPUX Itanium blades, HPUX OS builds, HPUX Integrity VM, HPUX vpars, managing VM capacity, HP c7000 chassis, systems support, integration, delivery of database servers, middleware servers and web tier application servers across the organization. This position will be responsible for datacenter migrations, projects, and scheduled server maintenance. The successful candidate will need to frequently interface with other support and engineering groups to deploy solutions and to help troubleshoot any problems in the environment. Good analytic troubleshooting skills are essential. The candidate should have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision but also function as a team player. This is essential. Position is required to provide on-call support on a rotating basis with the other members of the team. Fluent in English and Spanish is required. *Responsibilities* · Server Administration – Hardware, OS, SAN allocations, Network, and Scripting · Frame Management – Managing a large VM farm · Software Installations – OS Builds, OS Package/patch installations, client software installation · Monitoring – Tivoli alerts, system and network-level performance monitoring, performance tuning, backups, and capacity planning · Project – Represent the team on assigned projects, planning and implementation.
