Position : Application Developer Duration : 6+ months Location : Colton, CA. *JOB DESCRIPTION* The Application Developer’s role is to apply proven communication skills, problem-solving skills and knowledge of best practices to design, develop, deploy and support mission-critical information and software systems focusing primarily on Lineage WMS, a multi-facility warehouse management system. · Develop and deploy new applications, systems software and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout the enterprise. · Collaborate with analysts, designers and system owners to design and test software solutions for a variety of business problems. · Estimate the effort required for software development activities. · Work within specifications provided to meet programming assignment goals and objectives in a timely and accurate manner. · Follow development and configuration management processes. · Thoroughly unit test your own code and provide guidance to others for additional testing. · Promote programming changes and software upgrades to test and production environments. · Provide third-level on call support. · Take independent action to correct problems encountered during systems operations within authority level granted by manager. · Identify and resolve programming errors. · Write and maintain technical documentation. *JOB REQUIREMENTS* · Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science, information technology, engineering, or relevant field or equivalent in education and work experience. · 2+ years of experience in software development · A demonstrated passion for delivering superior quality and results in a client-centric, service-oriented environment. · Ability to think logically for interpreting and analyzing problems assigned or encountered. · Resourcefulness and ability to take the initiative in development and completion of work projects. · Good time management skills. · Strong experience with MS SQL Server Transact-SQL including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and queries. · Experience using SQL Profiler and SQL Query Analyzer for debugging, performance tuning and query optimization. · Experience with HighJump WMS development/configuration/set-up is highly desired. · Experience with Crystal Reports is desired. · Experience with Bartender label software is desired. · Experience with .NET, Silverlight and/or web services is desired. · To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
