BizTalk - System Engineer
*Contract to hire position for a Biz Talk System Engineer. * *This position is with Farm Bureau in Des Moines, IA. * *Has to have excellent communication and leadership skills. * *Needs to be EAD, GC, or USC, because it is contract to hire* *$55/hr* *BizTalk - System Engineer - Contract to Hire - Farm Bureau - Des Moines IA.* This position is responsible for the technology governance of the Enterprise Services application area and collaborates with multiple IT departments to mitigate risks, find solutions, communicate change and be a leader. . Partner with directors, application developers, technicians and other system engineers from IT areas to design and insure compliance with underlying principles, assumptions and strategies, insure the integrity of components and makes recommendations for architecture improvement. . Research, design and implement system development tools and provide recommendations for adoption/rejection. . Accountable for assigned production systems/applications and troubleshoot complex problems to ensure timely resolution. . Analyze existing procedures and alternatives and design complex technical configurations. . Research, analyze, develop and implement new initiatives to improve systems software analysis, design and development tools. . Provide guidance to all IT staff and management concerning technical issues and changes. . Work with external vendors molding strategic direction of vendor systems to support the strategic direction of Farm Bureau. . Assist IT management with resource management issues including resource allocation, training goals and budgeting. Qualifications: College degree or equivalent plus six years relevant experience required. . Proficient in BizTalk enterprise messaging environment to include development patterns, system analysis and design in scaled out environments. . Practical analysis and implementation of guaranteed message delivery. . Have conducted BizTalk maturity assessment and developed roadmap to correct deficiencies. . Experience in monitoring BizTalk Server using tools similar to SCOM and BizTalk360. . BizTalk Server Administration certification a plus. . Experience with IIS, along with strong knowledge of HTTPS and load-balancing. . Scripting experience (PowerShell, Perl, etc.) for automation of administrative tasks preferred. . Working knowledge of IBM MQ and Informatica environments is a plus. . Good analytical/conceptual thinking skills, technical systems knowledge, and problem solving skills are required. . Must have a good customer service orientation, impact and influence, industry awareness, initiative, integrity, people savvy, relationship management and self-confidence skills. . Must understand the inter-relationship between business and technology needs. . Advanced knowledge of multiple IT platforms. . Ability to write, speak and read the English language. . Reasonably regular and predictable attendance. .
