The .Net Developer is responsible for development and maintenance of the
policy administration system, including the front-end client, business tier
and database. The responsibilities also include development and
maintenance of interfaces with internal and external third party systems. The
.Net developer works closely with business users to understand requirements
and determine functional design of the system and uses Microsoft Visual
Studio 2012, C#, Winforms and SQL Server 2008 to accomplish these goals.
Required Skills:
5 + years object-oriented development experience with C#
relational database experience preferably SQL 2008, including writing
stored procedures, queries and creating tables
XML and XSLT
effective listening and verbal communication skills
ability to analyze, comprehend and implement business rules
strong ability to work on multiple aspects of a complete system,
including GUI development, rules development, backend interfacing
development, workflow development and server processing
Desired Skills:
experience with Winforms, Web, and CSS development
ability to quickly assimilate new technologies and skills
prior roles on large user base applications that include the ability to
stress test and improve performance
ability to independently research and troubleshoot problems
ability to interact with business users and offer professional support
via email and phone
professional, courteous and organized
good business and technical writing skills
exhibits aptitude for problem solving
