QA Lead - Los Angeles
*QA Lead * *Los Angeles, CA. * *Rate-$45/Hr* *Face to Face Interview* *Duration: 12 months * *Responsibilities/Duties* Must have 8+ years of work experience in a IT/QA and 4+ years in a QA leadership role. Must have 2+ years of experience with managing offshore teams, preferably in India. Must have domain knowledge in investment products/business Must have 4+ years work experience at investment banking supporting Back Office systems Must have strong project management skills – planning, resource management, tracking progress etc. Must have understanding of QA best practices and methodologies including waterfall, agile, scrum Must have strong understanding of SDLC and QA’s role during each phase Must have thorough understanding of different testing types including functional, regression, integration, UI, Backend, UAT, smoke, performance testing Must have ability to design and develop comprehensive test strategy, test plan and test cases Must have strong background in reviewing business and functional requirements in order to produce high level test strategy and test cases Must have working knowledge of QC and other defect tracking systems ex. Jira Must have working knowledge of Oracle/Sybase and be proficient with SQL Must be analytical and have problem solving skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in a highly demanding, fast paced environment managing multi projects simultaneously Must be knowledgeable with Windows OS platforms/Office applications ex. MS word, excel, project, etc. Must be knowledgeable of multi-tier architecture and networking *Competencies* Provide test plan, strategy and test cases Estimate QA efforts, and develop testing strategy Coordinate with Offshore QA team with regard to project prioritization and test activities Manage QA deliveries for assigned projects Provide hands on testing support during QA phase and production validation Provides support for production release including coordination of patch releases Provide regular status reports to QA manager and PM Identify and recommend any opportunity of implementing Automations to increase efficiency of testing Provide estimate for QA efforts and communication it to QA manager and project team Train/Monitor QA team to follow existing CLIENT QA processes Be responsible for collecting raw data and QA metrics Participate in scheduled meetings with offshore team to review progress, and discuss issues Participate in project team meetings, and share the outcome with Offshore QA team Faciliate questions from offshore resources and follow up with onsite team when necessary Facilitate KT sessions between onsite/offsite team *Academic Qualifications (minimum requirements):* Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from a four year college or university with a major in computer science, finance or mathematics or equivalent experience -- *Please only reply to my official ID [email protected] <[email protected]>* Sam (Saurabh Gaur) Sage Group Consulting Inc.
