*Hi* *Hope you are doing great,* *We have a very urgent position for Business Analyst. **Please let me know availability and updated profile ASAP.* * Role: P&C Underwriting senior BA* * Location: NYC, NY * *Job Status: Contractor * *Mode of interview: Telephonic* *Any visa will work.. * *Must have Underwriting Workbench and Underwriting Workflow experience must.* *Description: * This senior role is an integral part of the Business Analyst Team leading and supporting the analysis and development of a large scale program consisting of system implementations for offering a new suite of Insurance products for a customer segment by one of the Group Companies. This role will work closely with the Program Manager, Project Manager (s), junior Business Analysts and other Technical teams to elicit and document the business process flows, business requirements, system (functional and non-functional) requirements, etc. for the program that will consist of multiple projects. The candidate will have strong Business Analysis soft skills as detailed in the Qualifications section and have strong knowledge of Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance Business knowledge, strong knowledge of Marketing, Underwriting, Actuarial, Customer Service and Claims business processes in P&C industry as well as strong leadership skills to be able to lead Requirements gathering sessions. *Areas of Responsibility: * · Work closely with the Program Manager and Projects Managers to define the scope and high level requirements for the program. · Plan activities for the BA group and provide estimates for the BA activities. · Support development of Project Initiation, Project Charter and Project Plans. · Schedule and Lead requirements elicitation meetings. · Document Business Process Flows (AS IS and TO BE). · Document detailed Business Requirements, Business Rules, Rating requirements, Coverage requirements, etc. · Analyze Insurance forms and document forms requirements. · Work closely with Architecture team to design solution to meet business needs. · Facilitate requirements reviews and approvals with project stakeholders. · Provide SME support for Development and Testing teams. · Review testing documents including Test Plan, Test Cases, etc. and verify complete Test coverage. · Develop UAT plan and Facilitate UAT with the UAT testers. · Triage defects during QA and UAT, facilitate prioritization and resolutions. · Develop and/or support development of training manuals and SOPs. · Train the users and/or support training activities. · Support production implementation activities including documenting release notes. *Qualifications: * • Strong analytical skills, to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details and create a clear requirement. • Strong experience writing business requirements and functional specs. • Strong modeling skills, to represent information in graphical forms that augment textual representations in natural language, including using modeling languages already established in the organization. • Strong writing skills, to communicate information effectively to managers, and technical staff. • Strong interpersonal skills, to help negotiate priorities and to resolve conflicts among project stakeholders (such as business owners, project management, and software development). • Familiarity and understanding of the software development lifecycle. • Strong knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office products (Visio, Excel, Word and PowerPoint). • Strong interviewing skills, to talk with individuals and groups about their needs and ask the right questions to surface essential business problem and solution. • Familiarity with BABOK and its methodology. • Familiarity with identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner. • Bachelor Degree (preferably in MIS, IT, or Business). • 7+ years of hands on analysis and documentation of requirements. • Understanding of Unified Modeling Language (UML) is a plus. P&C Insurance domain knowledge as well as knowledge of P&C business processes is required to have credibility with user representatives and be able to work effectively with them.
