*Duration: 12 month contract with possible extension.* Job Details: Our client is looking for an energetic full-stack developer with at least five years of professional experience in Microsoft C#/.NET programming to join our team. The candidate will be working with the team to build and enhance the MBS trading analytics system that is critical to daily bond trading and portfolio management. The developer is expected to work with teammates and quantitative modelers to develop WPF and Silverlight UI, WCF services, and DB components front to back. Our bond pricing system consists of 80+ modules that are built with WPF/Silverlight UI, WCF services and some of the world’s largest Oracle and Sybase IQ databases. Must Haves WPF or Silverlight (Will accept Angular/Bootstrap experience as alternative to WPF) WCF Multi-threading MVVM SQL Database (Oracle or MS SQL or Sybase) Basic Unix/Linux skills, and basic scripting Multi-tasking/task switching/responsive to changing environment/request flows Effective communication, verbal and written Basic knowledge of financial products (difference between equity and fixed income) Nice to Have Full stack programming capabilities Data driven design experience Scripting language support (light programming): Python, perl, csh, bash Enhanced SQL/DB skills - table/intex creation, population, table relationships (nested query, query with temp tables) Graphic design - creating icons, UI look/feel, light XAML animatio Web API Fixed income knowledge Technology /Tools Visual Studio, TFS, SVN, IIS Day to Day Consistent hours - approximately 7-5 daily, 50 hours/week Hit milestones/schedules Be responsive to production requests Time to market is often the most critical success factor Culture of the Team Fast paced, feature-driven coding style Independent development with full responsibility (No separate BA/QA, full-stack experience helps) - not for specialized UI-only or server-only developers. Very simple or no documentation, developers are expected to read code better than reading documentation.
