Hi, Kindly check out the below position and let me know your interest. *H1b ok (if submitting h1b or GC-EAD , please provide relevant document for proof – H1B/EAD copy with photo id).* *Role: Cyber Security Specialist* *Location: 42-09 28th St Long Island City, NY 11101* *Duration: 6 Months* *Working Hours: 35/h per week (Mon-Fri 9 am – 5 pm)* *Interview: Face to Face* *MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE * - 4+ years in information security. -Detailed knowledge of technical security standards and practices (e.g., access control and system hardening, system audit and log file monitoring, security policies, and incident handling). -Experience with firewalls, virtual private networks, and configuration of intrusion prevention and detection systems -Experience with Visio -Experience with deploying security tools including but not limited to Cisco ASA, Sourcefire, McAfee IPS, Nexpose, etc. -Experience with Juniper Netscreen -Experience with routing and switching -Experience with packet capture and network traffic analysis (Netflow, Wireshark) and system log analysis -Knowledge of common networking protocols -Ability to and interest in learning new technologies quickly -Ability to interpret information security data and processes to identify potential compliance issues -Ability to quickly understand security systems in order to identify and validate security requirements -Ability to effectively work both as a member of a team and independently with little-to-no assistance or supervision -Strong analytical, technical, and problem solving skills -Strong oral and written communication skills -Willing to share knowledge and assist others in understanding technical and business topics *DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:* -Security knowledge of Linux, OS X, and Windows -Familiarity with one or more common scripting languages. -Application security testing experience -Penetration testing experience *SCOPE OF SERVICES* -Provide network and web application security services, work closely with the DOHMH IT Security team and its agency partners in the coordination and facilitation of the agency’s technical security goals and initiatives -Create and update infrastructure security documentation and diagrams -Develop documentation and diagrams, enforce, update and communicate security policy.
