VERY URGENT AND IMMEDIATE NEED Job Title : Director of Data Modeling and Mining Location : Sioux Fall, SD Duration : 03+ Months Contract Interview : Phone/ Skype Start Date : ASAP Rate : *$40/hr all Inc,* *Job Description:* *Need Director of Data Modeling and Mining:* *Responsibilities: * As part of the Global Sales team, the Director of Data Modeling & Mining will be responsible for designing and implementing processes related to predictive / analytical modeling, data mining and complex data sets using statistical, text mining and other modern techniques. This individual is also responsible for planning, leading/collaboration with various internal and vendor teams, project managing the lifecycle of an analysis project, and provide periodic updates through presentations and prototype demonstrations. The role will require working on multiple projects simultaneously. This individual will work collaboratively across numerous functions, including the Operations, Human Resources, Marketing, Business Development, Finance, Information Technology, Culinary, and Retail teams. *The key responsibilities of the position include:* • Lead the design and development of analytical platforms intended to understand key business levers to drive consumer engagement, satisfaction and loyalty to create demand and accelerate revenue growth as well as identify opportunities to improve in operational efficiencies. • Create data definitions for new database file/table development and/or changes to existing ones as needed for analysis. • Mine data sources for information and then construct data models for use in analytical models and business intelligence tools. • Contribute to predictive / analytical modeling architectures, modeling standards, reporting, and data analysis methodologies. • Apply quality assurance best practices for predictive modeling/analytics services. • Leverages existing data warehouses to develop business intelligence reports and objects that support the Global Sales team’s strategy • Participate in efforts, as required, to redefine transactional data capture, the transmission of location level data to a central data repository as well as the integration of 3rd party data. • Serve as a key member of various project teams of cross-functional resources to implement decision support strategies -- including resources from marketing, IT, finance and external partners. • Effectively partner with internal or external resources, with expertise in statistical and predictive modeling, to analyze and look for patterns within customer behavior and/or business performance data and summarize findings. • Perform trend analysis, predictive analytics and data mining to provide actionable insights that inform strategic and tactical decisions and lead to improved consumer experience and business results. *Qualifications: * o Bachelors degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering or related field. o *Minimum 7 years of experience in Business Analytics, Data Modeling* or in related disciplines. o *3+ years of writing code in an analytics* environment o Be able to work independently and collaboratively o *3+ years experience developing in BI tools*.
