*Rate:$45/hr on CTC* *Term:8 months contract with possible extension* *ONLY GC, USC* Client is looking for a SQL/Oracle DBA for a long term open ended contract. Currently the position is budgeted through 2016. If the candidate does a good job then they will be extended. This is NOT a Production DBA. Please ask them if they consider themselves in this category. If so, they are not suited for this position. The technical environment is SQL Server 2008/2012. There are about 50 SQL databases and 4 Oracle databases. About 5 Terabytes of data. At this location client also runs SAP in an Oracle/Windows environment. The manager hopes to migrate everything to SQL Server over time. Upon starting this position the candidate will need to 1)Assess the database architecture 2)Assess the databases 3)Figure out the health of the environment 4) Make recommendations 5) Put a plan in place to correct the issues and maintain the environment.
