Please find the requirement below and let me know your interest.. *POSITION* *Senior DevOps Engineer* *Santa Clara, CA* *6-12+months* *Position Summary*: The Senior Systems Engineer (Cloud) is a part of our client’s Internet Operations team. This team is dedicated to making our client sites fast and reliable for millions of users. Our client team is seasoned, professional, and like to have fun. You are a motivated, organized, and independent systems engineer that has worked with both Cloud and physical infrastructures running a LAMP stack with high performance and uptime. *Responsibilities:* Build and maintain the next in-house Private Cloud. Build and maintain a Linux infrastructure that utilizes both cloud based and physical servers. Write software and scripts to automate tasks, gather metrics, and support capacity planning. Troubleshoot and analyze errors in production and non-production environments to identify performance bottlenecks and/or bugs. Establish and adhere to policies, procedures and standards relating to server management, security and change controls. Work individually and in cross-functional teams with product management, engineering, DevOps, and business units. Ensure uptime and performance of production website and servers. Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation. *Minimum Qualification*: Min of 10+ years of over System Engineering exp. Experience with AWS, OpenStack and cloud computing in general. 5+ years of experience with deep understanding in Private/Hybrid Cloud Development lifecycle. Amazon Web Services ( AWS) administration and automation of infrastructure tasks. Experience with Configuration management system i.e. chef, puppet, ansible or salt. Experience with Redis, ElasticsSearch, and Logstash Experience with Nagios, Graphite, cacti and other monitoring and metrics software MySQL administration and/or SQL knowledge Experience in databases and analytics, including relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle), Data warehousing, big data (Hadoop, Spark), noSQL, and business analytics *Ideal Candidate Characteristics:* The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral treats: 3 - 5 years supporting a 24x7, high volume website Extensive knowledge and experience supporting and troubleshooting Linux (Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS, and/or Redhat) and the underlying networking application and stacks. Demonstrated understanding of highly scalable systems and architectures. Expertise with Amazon EC2, OpenStack or similar cloud based computing platform, as well as with virtualization technologies like VMware, Xen, or KVM Strong skill with multiple scripting languages, one or more of these: Python, Ruby, Perl, and/or PHP. Experience creating or maintaining server configuration management software (Puppet, Chef).
