The Application Developer/Architect, designs, creates, implements and architects applications using primarily Microsoft development tools and SQL Server database technologies. Focus is on development in .NET architecture (C#, APS.NET with JavaScript and JQuery) and integration with SharePoint. The Application Developer will meet with the Business Analyst and other team members to identify requirements and develop detailed design specifications, project plans and schedules and provide input to the functional specification process. The Architect portion of this role requires full-stack architecture definition skills but is approximately 10% to 20% percent of the position, depending upon the specific project(s). In addition, the application developer/architect supports, maintains, and enhances these products and applications. *Requirements: * · Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, with at least 6 years of experience in Windows platform development with demonstrable product operation. · Proficient with the following; Visual Basic, C#, ASP (classic and .NET), JavaScript/JQuery, VB Script, HTML, Subversion or similar source code repository, IIS, MS SQL, Windows Operating Systems, .Net Framework and SharePoint. · Experience with developing full-stack System Architectures based on these technologies as well as the technical and business justification for the architecture/technology recommendations. · Good communication and documentation skills, team player, results oriented, and a self-starter. *Responsibilities:* · Represent SPS in an ethical and professional manner and carry out required duties in compliance with prescribed business practices. · Commitment and adherence to SPS Q1 Quality First policy. · Interact with the Business Analyst to establish applications and systems requirements for assigned projects. Create design specifications as required using specification documentation, current techniques and tools, and SPS development standards. · Lead the investigation, technical and business case development and documentation for new and updated system architectures. · Support the establishment of time lines for project milestones. · Follow industry standard applications development techniques and practices. · Provide appropriate documentation both in program code and externally. · Support code reviews. · Follow industry standard testing practices. · Keep current with the latest versions of applications development software, techniques and practices.
