*Job Description:*
Responsible for the planning and engineering of an
organization's systems infrastructure. Includes the implementation and
design of hardware and software. Monitors the performance of systems.
Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 6
years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with
standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and
latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
*Position Comments: *
The Senior System Center Operation Manager (SCOM) Engineer
is responsible for managing and maintaining the SCOM system application,
monitoring all technology systems and applications within the Comcast
eBusiness ecosystem.
The Senior SCOM Engineer will be responsible for collaborating with
Platform Architects, Systems Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Application
Developers, internal and external support teams, both onshore and offshore,
to determine requirements for filters, events, alerts, and dashboards and
reporting within SCOM.
*Skill Set*
· SCOM
· Automation experience
· SCOM for Database Servers is a plus, replication, high
availability, SQL Database, Customization.
· Powershell and infrastructure management.
· Significant desire for database experience with SCOM.
· New role
· Looking to add experience to the team with SCOM, team 3-4.
