Please share the appropriate profile. *Role: Data Scientist / Analyst* *Location: Tampa, FL* *Duration: 12+ Months* Skills Set: • Requires a minimum 5-7 years of experience accessing, compiling and analyzing large volumes of data into concise and precise information. • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in complex analysis and hands-on development of analytics and decision support models with the ability to implement, maintain and troubleshoot big data infrastructure • Preference will be given to candidates with financial background. • A graduate degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, quantitative analysis, economics or related field is required. Undergraduates will be considered. • Candidates must possess a solid background/understanding financial markets / operations processing • Prior experience within risk management domain and/or detection of fraudulent activity preferred • Proficiency and related work experience with relational databases: SQL query development and optimization • Proficiency and related work experience with mathematical and statistical computing environments, e.g., R, SAS, SPSS, Matlab, Anaconda • Candidates will be experienced with data warehouse and business intelligence tools • Related work experience in gathering requirements from business management teams for business analysis and management preferred. • Possess a high aptitude for problem solving and analytical thinking • Comfortable analyzing data from numerous disparate source systems • Candidate must be an advanced data thinker, doer and expert who likes diving in to solve new problems and design/implement new platforms and solutions. • Candidates must be self-motivated, detail-oriented and have the ability to work with limited supervision in a fast-paced, small-team environment.
