*USC or GC or EAD’GC* *Location: Iowa City, IA 52243* *Duration: 6+ months* Responsibilities: Responsible for maintaining the day-to-day support of the hardware and software that protects information systems from network attacks by using Firewalls, Virtual Private Networks (VPN), Proxy Servers, and Intrusion Detection (IDS) systems. Works with peers, management, and external contacts to investigate, analyze, and respond to anomalies as well as research, test, and implement new technologies. Researches, monitors, and identifies security and virus threats. Responds to threats by alerting other departments. Creates and modifies security rules in Firewalls, Proxy Servers, VPN, and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS). Troubleshoots network connectivity through Firewall devices by performing network traces, analyzing data, and implementing solutions. Performs management of Internet Usage Reports, Digital Certificates, Remote Internet Access, Antivirus and SPAM controls, and Domain Names. Help design and plan upgrades, and new solutions Work with managed services provider to implement solutions May work currency project or business improvement projects Qualifications: AAS degree in Computer Science or equivalent and 4 yrs. experience in the Information Technology field (required) Deep experience in network technologies (required) Ability to self-start work, design new solution, and solve issues Ability to follow standard procedures and controls (e.g. Change Management) Experience working with managed service providers for Network needs (preferred) Technologies: Cisco ASA, Firewall, Load Balancing, Routers, Switches, ISE, VPN, Wireless Cisco certifications preferred!!! *Thanks & Regards* Sunny Mehta Sage Group Consulting Inc.
