Title*:* *Sr Infrastructure Solutions Architect* Location: *Oak Brook, IL* Duration: *06 month* *Skype Interview* *Job Description: *We are looking for highly talented and technical Senior Infrastructure Solutions Architect to help accelerate our growing traditional data center hosting and public cloud service offerings. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high pace technical architecture team working with our 120 markets to develop new infrastructure solutions. This candidate will interact with our IT Partners and Market leads to identify, design, and manage to completion a portfolio of infrastructure related initiatives. The candidate will need to ensure all solutions leverage industry best practices, our standards, and meet the technical & financial requirements of the requester. The candidate will have to interact and manage multiple managed service providers to ensure successful design and delivery of said solutions. The candidate will need to be comfortable working with IT Partners spread across the world and potential being available for early morning and evening discussions. We are looking for someone who is passionate about: • Serving as a Senior Infrastructure Solution Architect for a wide range of traditional data center hosting platforms (mostly x86 on VMware, Mainframe, AS400, & Tandem) and public cloud offerings (AWS & Azure) • Architecting solutions for massive scale, resiliency and maintainability. • Evolving the technologies within our Global Data Centers. • Interpreting business/tech requirements into a solution design • Articulating value of their solution • Interacting and influencing with our IT Partners • Serve as the technical lead on assigned project • Seeking opportunities for improvement • Modernizing existing solutions • Cloud/Virtualization first mentality. • Mentoring our IT Partners, Managed Service providers and others on the team. * Qualifications *• BS level technical degree • 10+ years of experience as a technical specialist in Customer-facing roles. • Hands-on technical practitioner and individual contributor. • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations. • Strong practical Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment. • Experience building sophisticated and complex solutions. • Thorough understand of x86 hardware, VMWare, EMC storage technologies, LAN, WAN, Load Balancing, DNS, Active Directory, firewalls and other infrastructure related technologies/solutions • Experience architecting in and with AWS services • Basic understanding of Mainframe, AS400, & Tandem • Architecting in a highly virtualized environment • Architecting in a highly outsourced environment.
