Job Title: Oracle Apps Developer Location: Denver, CO Long Term Contract *POSITION SUMMARY:* The Senior Oracle Applications Developer will develop, deliver and support quality Oracle Application reports, interfaces, customizations and extensions. He or she will work with business analysts on defect resolution and user acceptance testing activities and be an active member of the Oracle application support community, promoting best practices and contributing to re-use of functionality. *ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:* · Build and support conversions, extensions, interfaces and reports for all Oracle R12 application modules (PO, INV, EAM, GL, AP, AR, FA, PA, CM, iExpense) based on functional and business needs. · Collaborate with business analysts and other developers in the development of efficient technical components within the Oracle applications environment · Develop Oracle application system components based on requirements definitions to promote and ensure re-usability. · Build patches for the efficient promotion of changes through the various application instances. · Develop and test application components in accordance with the technical development standards and best practices. · Coordinate work efforts with the DBA and middleware teams for application change controls and system performance issues. · Provide support to System Administrators relating to custom responsibilities, security profiles, menus, and user account provisioning. · Contribute to the creation of development estimates. *SUPERVISORY DUTIES:* No *JOB QUALIFICATIONS:* · BS or BA in computer science or information technology · Minimum seven years of Oracle Application Development and Analysis work experience · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills · Sound understanding of Oracle R12 Application architecture. · Experience in Oracle Financials, Projects, Purchasing, Inventory, Enterprise Asset Management and Fixed Assets Modules. · Experience with Databases - 11G. Strong SQL, PL/SQL skills. Java - a plus. · Experience using Oracle Development and Reporting tools Forms Builder, Reports Builder, XML Publisher, Alerts, Workflow Builder, Approvals Management, OBIEE and Discoverer. · Extensive Experience in designing/developing PL/SQL packages and experience using Oracle API's. · Experience with JDeveloper/OA Framework. · Basic Unix/Linux and shell script skills. · Experience in performance tuning. · Strong knowledge and use of SDLC(Software Development Life Cycle) methodologies, standards, and procedures with experience in promoting database changes from development through production environments. · Ability to debug, troubleshoot, and solve complex PL/SQL issues, and the ability to reverse engineer existing PL/SQL code into functional requirements. · Ability to create technical designs from business requirements, and effectively communicate technical decisions to non-technical staff.
