Please let me know availability and updated profile ASAP. *Job Title: Sr Automation Tester with Selenium Exp* *Location: Horsham, PA* *Duration: 6 month contract* *Need local candidates* *Face to Face Interview* *Position Overview* An ideal candidate is someone who is able to develop automated test scripts, analyze results, and document and report anomalies and issues. You will make sure that testing is well defined, planned and executed by ensuring that every phase and feature of the software solution is tested and that any potential issue is identified and fixed before the product goes live. You must have strong problem-solving skills in order to understand what is being tested, how and why. You need to understand multiple types of tests and the purposes they serve and the benefits they provide. You need the ability to write a test that tests the appropriate behavior of a function or capability. When a problem is discovered, you will be the first line of defense in diagnosing the problem and ensuring that the right people are engaged in solving it. Because of the agile computing world we live in, everyone is a developer of some sort. Testers who have exposure to coding practices can better communicate with the development team and can help with both white-box and black-box testing. As a result, you will need to be familiar with programming languages that are essential when dealing with automated tests or automation in general. Familiarity with automated testing tools will also be an important skill to have. *Responsibilities* • Develops automated test scripts for various applications, services and APIs. • Develop a strong understanding of the company’s business areas, their products, and the supporting technology environments. • Build effective working relationships with business, IM&T and support staff. • Integrates test scripts with configuration management procedures to ensure predictable results. • Participates in the documentation of best practices and standards for test automation. • Performs ad hoc testing manually and discovers opportunities for further automation. • Provide accurate work-effort estimates and status updates including the escalation of issues to management. • Provide accurate work-effort estimates and status updates including the escalation of issues to management. • Participates in all Agile team meetings. • Complies with all company and site policies and procedures. • Remains current in profession and industry trends. • Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements. • Performs other duties as assigned. *Experience* *Required Experience * • 5-7 years working in QA, Test Automation and associated technologies • Disciplined cross-browser/device QA & testing approach • Proven ability to take initiative, work independently and collaboratively • Python, Perl, Java, Ruby or shell scripting experience • Experience in understanding complete systems and their interfaces • Experience with *Test Automation tools like Selenium. Experience with QuickTest Pro is a huge plus*. • Experience with *integrating Test Automation into configuration management tools like Puppet and Jenkins*. • Experience with *HP/Mercury QualityCenter is a must.* • Experience with version control. Git and Subversion is a huge plus. • Experience with understanding and authoring XML for building test scenarios and data. • Experience with xUnit frameworks such as JUnit, NUnit, TestNG, etc. • Experience with performance testing software like LoadRunner and JMeter • Experience with Visual Basic programming is a plus. • Documentation, communication, organizational and planning skills are required.
