Dear Partners, Please find the urgent requirement below, reply with updated resume, if your candidate is comfortable and are interested Name: Sea Change VOD Specialist Location: United States - Lowell, Massachusetts Duration: 1 year Description: SUMMARY: Specialist to manage, troubleshoot and maintain SeaChange servers through Client`s DVS. DETAILS: The VOD specialist will be responsible for ensuring the install, reconfig, and operation of the VOD servers are successfully completed and will receive support from Client and SeaChange as needed. . VOD Specialist Deliverables - Install, reconfigure, maintain and troubleshoot VOD servers and settops that utilize them as needed. . Work within the various Client facilities to perform the various server tasks listed. . The Client facility visits will vary, requiring approximately 50% travel and include, but not be limited to Horsham PA, Lawrenceville GA, San Diego CA, Sunnyvale CA, Bangalore India, and St Petersburg Russia. . Work within the Client-Lowell and SeaChange facility as needed to learn new server features, procedures, and troubleshooting methods as allowed by SeaChange. Write and create documentation, as needed, that clearly illustrates the various Client configurations and network topologies. Travel expenses will be reimbursed as outlined in the Client travel policy. Travel should be scheduled within normal business hours and time will not be compensated beyond the normal business hours. Overtime will be allowed at normal pay rate for site efforts beyond normal business hours if approved in advance by Client management. Position Requirements: Experience Level - 7 - 10 Years Design and implement diagnostic components within an existing software infrastructure. Tasks will include the creation of common, low level routines to access/control hardware devices. Create functional diagnostic test suites covering memory systems, address/data bus access, boot level components, and high speed serial interfaces. Work with hardware engineers involved with FPGA and board design testability issues and support/assist the manufacturing and field service organizations with debug and fault isolation problems. Strong development background using C. Strong hardware debug and fault isolation background. Strong written communication skills in the form of Functional, Design, and Test Plan Documentation. Experience with embedded system environments and device driver experience in Linux or Unix environments. Experience with the PowerPC chip family. Draw wiring diagrams, circuit board assembly diagrams, schematics, and layout drawings used for manufacture, installation, and repair of electronic equipment.
