Please send me suiatble resumes ASAP Mechanical Engineer Duration: 1 year Contrace to Hire Location: Houston, TX Job Description: This position is responsible for the development of new products and options and the maintenance of standard bill of materials and drawings. The engineer may work on new designs, cost reduction projects, and or product line maintenance. The position will be working on-site at our client’s facility in Houston, TX. The position is full-time with the duration of 1 year with leadership/direction from in-house engineers. Candidate should be thorough, accurate and self-sustaining with good communication skills and able to work within a team environment. Candidate must have the ability to work in a fast paced, multi-task environment. Essential Job Functions: Ability to support new product and/or cost reduction projects. Creation of system F&ID/P&IDs and specification of associated parts. This would include creation of technical specifications and working with Sourcing and vendors to obtain quotes and cutsheets. Working with 3D and 2D CADD designers to create design layouts and associated assembly and fabrication drawings and bill of materials. Would be responsible for maintaining product line standard drawings and bill of materials. Would also include support of manufacturing, design reviews, tollgate processes, supplier meetings, requisition and field engineering. Requirements: Bachelors of Science in Engineering preferably in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering 1 - 3 years of experience in a quality control, improvement, or engineering role that provided leadership about the quality and efficiency of an operation or manufacturing facility. Some exposure to FEA and or 3D CAD software preferred Strong in Microsoft Excel Position Details: Knowledge of systems design associated with gas turbine packaging and associated codes and standards. LM gas turbine product line knowledge preferred. Green Belt certified preferred as well.
