Sr Developer with Java, J2EE, C++, Unix, Perl and Shell Scripting Location: Reston, VA 70% Java and 30% C++ Searching for Sr Developer with Java, J2EE, C++, Unix, Perl and Shell Scripting. Candidates must also have excellent communication skills because they will be required to interface with various project personnel. This position provides software design, development and maintenance support for various infrastructure and core business services for Desktop Underwriter platform. This position investigates designs and develops relevant emerging technologies and standards for applicability to AUT business objectives including enterprise integration, communication with third party systems etc. It also maintains awareness of technologies and development practices direction in other Technology organizations. Maintain or acquire breadth of technical skills needed to provide hands on support for developing and supporting interfaces with other software systems or teams in support of business objectives. Required Skills: . 8 -10 years of development experience - including at least 6 years of Java and 3 years of J2EE and 1- 2 years of C/C++. . Expertise in multithreading programming, network programming concepts . Expertise in J2EE development environment . Experience in working with UNIX environment including developing shell and perl scripts . Demonstrated experience in above in a production environment . Ability to multi-task and provide expertise for multiple projects and teams . Ability to consult with other application developers to tune and performance test new and existing code base . Excellent written and verbal communications skills .
