Applications Server Administrator with Strong Java Location: OK Duration: 6months
Rate: $40/hr WHAT TO LOOK FOR Experience: Minimum ten years of demonstrated experience in IT doing a combination of information systems development, functional and data requirements analysis, systems analysis and design, programming, program design and documentation preparation. A minimum of eight years must be intensive and progressive experience in the implementation of information engineering projects; systems analysis, design and programming; systems planning; business information planning; and business analysis. OTHER Required Skills/Knowledge includes Administrator skills for the following: - Oracle Application Server (must have a min 1 year recent with Oracle Application Server as an administrator) Questions to ask a candidate about Oracle Application Server: ask candidate have you installed Oracle application server/describe that experience? Describe the environment you worked in/how many developers, how many administrators, etc? Candidates must have Solaris 9&10 experience or UNIX AIX, or STAR NIX, BEA Weblogic; candidates must be able to navigate on one of those servers (1 years exp min). Ask candidates is they have any familiarity with Shell scripts on one of those servers? Senior JAVA development (3-4 years experience)- need exp supporting J2EE experience running on Solaris or one of the other Application Servers listed above- ask candidates if they have done this? This position will work closely with developers writing Java applications and then they will put those applications on the application servers. Desired/PLUS skills: - Installation and configuration of Oracle DB and Oracle application server - BEA Product knowledge a plus (specifically Weblogic).
