PWM offers a full array of financial counseling services that complement our traditional investment advisory and brokerage businesses. The PWM Technology CIO/PPT Builder team is responsible for two core functionalities in PWM. The CIO team designs, develops and maintains an asset allocation tool that allows for optimizing to come up with a target asset allocation and run various analytics like risk, return, backtesting, & projections on that. The PPT Builder team is responsible for systemically generating a PPT presentation that contains CIO content as well as Portfolio Review content to report on Performance, Investment Results,etc. CIO tools is built using Java/J2EE architecture on a Unix platform. The front-end uses a Panel architecture (built in-house) and embeds JavaScript and AJAX as well. The backend database is Sybase. The PPT Builder GUI interface is built using similar Java technology, but the actual PPT generation and rendering is done using CSharp in .NET architecture.
