Duration: 3+ months In-person Meeting a Must - locals given first preference Description: GENERAL DESCRIPTION: As part of the design and development process the applicant will need excellent written and verbal skills and should be able to express the designs to both end-users and technical development staff (internal and external). The position of Senior ETL Analyst/Architect is for an IT professional that has over 7 years of IT experience and 5 years of experience in data warehousing, design and development of data movement and data transformation programs using DataStage 7.5. The applicant should have an in-depth working experience on relational databases such as Oracle 9i/10g. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Responsible for preparing the technical specifications from the business requirements 2. Responsible for the design and development of ETL processes using DataStage 7.5 3. Responsible for developing database applications using Oracle, PL/SQL and UNIX ksh scripts 4. Work with the users and reporting team to collect and understand the requirements 5. Work with the data owners to resolve any issues to maintain the reliability of the data 6. Responsible for communicating with other IT groups in collecting the requirements and also implementing the applications 7. Develop and maintain the detailed project documentation QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Expert in designing and developing the ETL processes using DataStage Server 7.5 under UNIX and Oracle 9i/10g environment - MUST 2. Highly knowledgeable in data warehousing concepts and technologies - MUST 3. In depth experience with client server applications and architectures - MUST 4. In depth hands on experience in Oracle 9i/10g - MUST 5. Working experience with ERwin data modeling tool - MUST 6. In depth understanding and development experience using SQL, PL/SQL and UNIX ksh scripting languages - MUST 7. Proficiency with the UNIX (Sun Solaris) operating systems - MUST 8. Excellent Written and Verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with senior business and technical IT management - MUST 9. Strong Analytical and problem solving abilities - MUST 10. Experience with DataStage PX - PREFERRED 11. DataStage administration experience - PREFERRED 12. Oracle SQL tuning experience - PREFERRED 13.
