Please respond to [EMAIL PROTECTED] or [EMAIL PROTECTED] *Position : PROJECT MANAGER - MICHIGAN* *Location: Michigan* *Length of contract: 3/1/09* *Rate: $45/HR* *Note: AUTOMOTIVE CLIENT* *POSITION PURPOSE: **We currently have a need for a Program Lead**, managing an onsite IT support team thought out the SE Michigan area providing both application management and IT operations support services. The Program Lead is responsible for managing key aspects, project management and contractor delivery team, customer and satisfaction. Responsibilities include the day to day supervision of staff, interfacing with customer and managing contractors. These responsibilities include customer relationship management, contractor management, support customer processes and procedures, and ensuring the quality of support. The individual must possess knowledge and expertise in software application management and IT operations support. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Supervises a contractors team • Interfaces with customer to provide project status, reporting, resolve issues and maintain excellent working relationship • Provides technical assistance as required • Work with the customer, contractor, stockholder and other suppliers to development, implementation of standard processes and procedures • Ensure that customer satisfaction is maintained through active support management • Ensure that support is provided in a way that complies with customer standards, polices and procedures • Work with the sales organization to identify and sell additional business to existing clients thought pre-sales support efforts OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Regular, predictable attendance • Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: • Extensive proven experience (2 to 5 years) managing IT support teams • Knowledge of automotive industry OEM best practices in application lifecycle management, including IT operational support • Deep knowledge of IT services and processes (backup and recovery systems, patching, system deployment, systems upgrades, systems imaging, networks, decommissioning) for both clients and servers environments • Demonstrated knowledge of industry standard techniques for application and IT support management for complex businesses and ability to define business requirements in support of the ongoing development of services • Proven track record of effectively managing teams of 10 or more people, and demonstration of improving the overall performance of the team • Proven track record of delivering to customer specifications and service levels • Excellent customer interaction skills to the IT Management level • Ability to interact with all levels of management both inside and outside IT services infrastructure • Ability to make independent decisions • Ability to understand automotive customer requirements and learn new concepts quickly • Demonstrated interpersonal skills • Demonstrated solving skills • Fluent written and verbal communication skills • Strong problem solving, time management, and organizational skills EDUCATION: • B.S. in IT is preferred, equivalent experience shall also be considered • PMP and ITIL Management certification desired* -- Please send the updated resume of the consultant along with the rate, location and contact information.
