Required Skills: * Must have 3-5 years of experience in managing, developing and delivering Business Intelligence solutions including detailed knowledge of the development process required to build and deliver value added solutions. * Experience in designing dashboards and performance management applications with a Business Intelligence tool. * Background and experience with Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) Accounting and Finance functionality and capability is required with at least one of the following - Oracle Applications, SAP, or Siebel. Strong preference to Oracle Applications background. * Extensive experience with a BI tool set leader, preferable Business Objects and the Performance Management suite. * Experience with software development projects (5-10 years), and development methodologies * Experience with Automated systems. FULL JOB DESCRIPTION: The Business Systems Analyst on the Business Analytics team is expected to know Business Intelligence capabilities and uses better than any normal business person since this position will be working across the business and have specialized analytical skills. This position is expected to understand, propose, educate and help implement new business intelligence solutions through use of analytic tools and a detailed understand of the business pains and requirements. This position will work to continually understand business requirements, document them in standard formats, obtain business user approval and work them seamlessly into the bigger picture high value solution. Using business process engineering techniques, develops technical solutions and management processes to achieve overall objectives by means of implementing systems or enterprise-wide solutions, using the company's or a third-party's hardware/software products. Develops and recommends solutions and strategies, based on the analysis of customer business goals, objectives, needs, and existing systems infrastructure. Analyzes complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. Configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements. Designs details of automated systems. This position must be experienced enough to adjust the approach as to meet project goals, people's understanding and avoid making the process overly technical. May provide consultation to users in the area of automated systems. May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues. Expected to possess facilitation skills to include the application of facilitation tools and techniques. Understands team dynamics; has the ability to apply collaborative problem solving techniques; understands how to deal effectively with team conflict and other difficult situations involving team members.
