My wife just came back home after letting the chickens at her school's "chicken farm" out into the yard. She also gathered up the eggs that had accumulated since yesterday. One was 42 mm in diameter and 78 mm long. I am trying to imagine a hen standing on her tiptoes to lay this egg! It's mass was 75 g (to the nearest 5 g). Maybe it's a triple-yolker! Jim -- James R.
