I don't think you can make a blanket statement there. I've seen many Deja
threads where women seem to be more accepting of metric then men. Someone's
wife, for example, apologizing for her husband you just can't figure out
what 500ml in a recipe is.
Also note how "women's" products, such as shampoos and household cleaners,
seem to be metricating faster than "men's" products, such as paint and
automotive products. Men have the "macho" thing, which requires them using
feet, gallons, and cubic inches, etc, rather than this quiche-eating
"metric" stuff.
I know this sounds SILLY, but anyone watching elections this year knows
imagery counts for everything.
