Of the list given, I would agree with NOAA/NWS issued weather
forecasts/current readings would be the first to completely change.  It
would be a LESSENING of efforts on their part, as it would only entail
NO LONGER TRANSLATING their current work.  In that case, it would be
INTERESTING INDEED to see how many of the local TV/radio weather
guys/gals then expend the time and effort necessary to translate
everything to 'US customary' on their own.

Highway signage would be the most IMPORTANT change that can be made,
this due to their visibility and the everyday useage of their
information, used FAR more frequently than weather forcasts/reports.

Well, if fuel prices keep trending upwards (as they are), I can *EASILY*
see an enterprising gas station chain going to liter pricing (the
smaller units mean lower numbers on the sign).

The liter seems to me to be the 'metric' unit with which the US public
has the most familiarity these days.
