Houses in Canada are designed and built by people whose education ended with high school. Commercial buildings by designed and built by university-trained architects and engineers. In Canada house building has remained imperial, while commercial building is metric. Public opinion surveys in Canada have shown a distinct correlation between attitude to metrication on one hand and degree of education and income on the other. That was despite neutrality or hostility on the part of innumeerate Arts graduates. There was a negative correlation between support for metrication and age.
