Greg Peterson in USMA 8891 quoted a reply he received from the Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce. I did not receive the attachment to his message. >Saskatchewan is ahead of many provinces in this regard including our >biggest province which still gives measures for temperature on its radio >in farenheit degrees. Concerning the lumber industry, 80% of our exports >in lumber are to the U.S. so moving to metric drivers is dependant upon >the U.S. adoption rate. > >Kent Smith-Windsor >Saskatoon and District Chamber of Commerce I am a snob. I view only CBC Newsworld. I listen only to CBC and CHFI, a high-brow station that broadcasts only classical music. CBC broadcasts are totally free of Fahrenheit. CHFI quotes present temperatures outside its studio in Celsius and Fahrenheit, but all other temperatures, past and predicted, are in Celsius only. I presume that the announcer has a remote-reading thermometer on his desk that gives him both Celsius and Fahrenheit
