Just a follow-up on your second link, Ian.
I especially appreciate that one, as it provides the corresponding
international standard -- IEC 60297-1. The fact that its title refers to the
19" dimension certainly confirms the wombatness of the spec. Given the way
ISO and IEC cooperate, I suspect it's also known as ISO/IEC 60297-1.
Those members whose email software includes a spell checker should please
make a mental note to add "wombatness" as a new word when your spell checker
queries it. <g>
