Since I posted the first message in this thread, Jim Frysinger has reminded
me that the � is not an issue with respect to PC/Mac compatibility.
Actually, though, there are two HTML codes for �. In the conversion of
Dennis's Excel document, both showed up -- μ and µ. The latter is
the one that displays correctly on both PCs and Macs. The former is good
only on PCs. I've changed the former to the latter, in all cases.
By the way, a couple of people have sent me private messages regarding the
content of the table. Such messages should be posted here, so both Dennis
and I can address them and, if necessary, others can discuss them. However,
messages dealing solely with the mechanics of displaying specific characters
may, if the writer wishes, be sent privately.
