True. Unlike in the U.K. where they normally use yards.
A story yesterday in the L.A. Times talked about gasoline prices rising
"about 30 cents a quart" in a certain Chinese province. That was also
an obvious translation of liter to quart since in the U.S. we don't
normally (ever!) quote gasoline prices in quarts.
