To all,

I did not remember that I was on their list.  What if everyone were to send them a pro-SI feedback?

Subject: weather.com announcement: Better weather coming soon!

Dear weather.com user:

For the past five years, weather.com's goal has been to
become the ultimate destination for people who want to
better understand the link between their weather and their
lives. What will the driving conditions be like for my
weekend getaway? Will my flight be on time? Should I
bring rain gear to the golf course? Could my sniffles
be allergies? What ski resort has preferable snow
conditions for my upcoming trip?

In our pursuit of this goal, we rely heavily on the
thoughts, recommendations, and input we receive
from you, our users. Due to your ideas, we are pleased
to tell you today about new products and enhancements
happening at weather.com.

Over the past year, we have partnered with industry
giants such as Sun, IBM, Linux, Interwoven, and Oracle
to unveil a site that is designed to be a personal
planning tool for you. We believe that these products
will help you get the most out of your daily life.

As a valued customer, we wanted you to be one of the
first to preview the new site enhancements, which
include:
   * What/Where Search: Located at the top of our
homepage, this function allows our users to quickly get
the latest weather forecast for their particular activity
of interest, i.e. What? Skiing. Where? Vail, Colorado.
And we'll deliver a forecast tailored to this activity
and particular geographic locale.
   * Planning indices: If you're a skier, weather.com
will numerically rank the ski resorts in your area to help
you determine the best location for ideal conditions on any
given day. In the near future, we'll also unveil planners
for health, travel, golf, and more.
   * Hour-by-Hour Forecasts: We'll break down the weather
forecast hour-by-hour for the next 48 hours for all 77,000
locations we cover worldwide.
   * Severe Weather Alerts: When the National Weather
Service issues a weather advisory, we'll post ticker alerts
on city pages of the affected areas and send severe alerts
to our users through e-mail, cell phones, pagers, and
personal digital assistants.
   * Climatology Data: Need to select a date for the
big event you're planning? Check out the average temperature,
record high or low, or sunrise/sunset information for the
past 365 days (for 7,000 locations).
   * Enhanced navigation and functionality.
   * Greater customization to the individual user.

In the coming days, we will be extending an invitation to you
to take a sneak preview of the enhanced weather.com. We hope
that you will find it as exciting as we do.

Sincerely,

Debora Wilson
