I agree that the international sites of Amazon are metric. However the .com
is the main site and it takes orders from all over the world including
Canada and maybe Mexico.
Therefore I see no reason for not displaying SI.

I just checked the web-based catalog here at U. of Colorado, and was

I looked at Amazon's Japanese site, and of course there, units are cm.
(In Japan, *everything* is metric. Shoe sizes are even foot length in cm.
BTW, where do European shoe sizes come from?)
I looked briefly at Amazon's UK site, but didn't see any book dimensions
reported.
