The diameter is a true 120mm for a standard disc, 80mm for a so-called "three inch" (i.e., it's 3.8mm bigger than 3") A typical "jewel case" for a 120 is 141.5mm x 124.5mm x 10mm, keeping in mind that these are made of crystal polystyrene, a material not known for great precision or resistance to warpage. (Flinstone Units fared no better for either accuracy or simplicity.) A standard "jewel case" for a 2 CD set gives 141.5mm x 124.5mm x 24mm, although I have special "bookfold" cases that manage to pack 2 discs into 10mm instead of 24mm. There is also a cheaply made, 141.5mm x 124.5mm x 7mm single case. Finally, I don't own any DVDs as yet, but "The Industry" seems to think they need a much larger case...if it's in Flinstones, I'll scream. Randi (Anal Retentive) Radcliff ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) |
