I am an American, aged 65, and must tell you that whenever Europeans, Asians or anyone continues to baby Americans with these conversions it simply prolongs the day when Americans lose that arrogant attitude that because they cling to WOMBAT (Way Of Measuring Badly in America Today) they will succeed in badgering the rest of the world into accepting it. I know plenty of Americans whose attitude is, " Let them change, after all, we are Americans!" I cannot believe that you would accept the AP style book.
