Morning Edition-NPR: Just after a piece about Costco's expansion into Japan, you mentioned a situation concerning a store in Japan which is selling used clothing "by the pound" and your reporter repeated for emphasis "yes, by the pound". It is hard to believe that this would be possible in Japan since the "pound" as a measure of mass (weight) has no legal status in Japan. Surely you must have meant to say "by the kilogram"? Please clarify this for me, a public radio member at Atlanta's WABE 90.1 FM. Norman V. Werling 1240 Hunters Drive Stone Mountain, GA 30083-2545
