On my part, I buy a roll of "golden" dollars whenever I am at the bank and make a point of spending them. Usually the teller says she has to get them from the vault! When I ask why, the anwswer is that there is not enough demand for them (duh, if they gave them out, the reverse would be true). Many small bank branches don't even have them in stock, saying they don't order them from wherever their stock comes from. Kind of a self-defeating situation. HARRY WYETH
