I thought there was a provision under the NAFTA trade agreement that requested the US 
to adopt the metric system. It is in that forum that I could see a request having the 
largest impact, especially if Mexico added their voice to Canada's.

something which constituted a request that we convert,
it might have huge impact. If there some totally
nonbinding resolution from the parliament urging the
U.S. to get on with it, it just might have a lot of
