Hello, Stephen,

Please allow me to give you my take on the following below:

Indeed. Totally agreed! Actually it would be cheaper for them to do so and they
would be paying the customer a BIG service!

This is hogwash and pure simple laziness on their part. Oh, how I wish to be the GM
of a grocery chain like Superstore. I would immediately unilaterally change that and
make big waves about it. More below.

What a bunch of crock! Confusing advertisement is what they already do with this
idocy of dual labeling!

Now, I said above that I'd do something about it. This is what I would tell
customers. Superstore is streamlining its operations so as to save YOU, the customer,
money. By adopting universal common standards of pricing AND including unit pricing
(yes, I'd also introduce that, too! :-) ) we believe you'd be better served and
able to more directly and easily compare prices around if you so desire. Our ads will
be simpler, more effective and less confusing. We strongly believe that by adopting
this approach, YOU, the customer will be the big winner as we may ultimately be able
to pass on these savings onto you via even cheaper prices!

So... How would that sound?... ;-) (BTW, please go ahead and use this idea with
your grocer the next time, and see what kind of lame excuse he'll come up with
next!... :-( ).

I wish the Liberals did take that bold step, but I've been trying to contact the CFIG
organization in Canada for weeks (cfig.ca). I tried e-mail (3 times), fax (twice),
phone (once, so far), and every single time not even a the courtesy of a return to any
of these. However, I'll be a lot more aggressive next time (which will likely be over
the phone) and I will sound ANGRY! You'll see! Grrr... !#$%^$%
