Today several of you posted messages about NASA's (specifically the Johnson
Space Center's) arrogance about forcing FFU units on the space station
partners. I also read today that the new Mars Odyssey probe will *still*
use dual SI/FFU units (they just never learn, do they?).

No one is going to take up this cause for us. I have included the postal
address of NASA Administrator Dan Goldin below. Could some of you write to
Mr. Goldin and urge him to complete NASA's stated metrication program? I
can't write to him without possibly endangering my position at the Poker
Flat Research Range (last year I wrote to him regarding an internal matter
and got *much* more attention than I bargained for). Here is his address:

Mr. Daniel S. Goldin
NASA Administrator
National Aeronautics and Space Administration
NASA Headquarters
Washington, DC 20546-0001
USA

I'm going to write to the Associated Press (their CEO and the editor of the
AP Stylebook) regarding the AP Stylebook's metric usage guidelines and the
fact that most AP reporters flagrantly disregard it. I'll include
photocopied examples of "incorrect" [as per the AP Stylebook] metric-only AP
releases.
